Rubbish is an ever-hungry cat with an overactive imagination, who lives in the
junk-filled attic of an old house. His quest for food leads him to scheme up
elaborate plans and role-playing endeavours with the off-cuts and outcasts
that litter his home - hence that "King of the Jumble" reference.

Sadly for Rubbish, his over-reaching schemes usually go haywire in some
way. And even if they don't, there are various foes ready and waiting to thwart
his valiant efforts, like the Mice and Birds, and in particular there's his arch
nemesis Dinsdale the Dog. He's something of a guard dog, protecting the
ground floor flat of his owner, Sid, and he hates Rubbish with a venegeance.
When ever that over-reaching cat gets too close, he'll give him a good old
bite on the tail - Ouch! - poor Rubbish!

This knockabout series was created and directed by Mark Taylor at
A Productions, of Bristol. That anarchic stand-up-turned-actor Alexei
   Sayle provided the voices...
