And
the BAFTAs go to...
(29.11.11)

Wow. Did
you hear that? - That was the sound of twelve months,
spinning by in the blink of an eye because, would you believe
it,
ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, the Children's
BAFTA
awards have
been handed out already!
Now, we could easily ramble on about the poor state of the
industry
here in the UK, and how we should probably be awarding prizes
to any company that can get a production through the
financing
and development process and on to our screens right now.
But instead, we'll move swiftly on to present our regular
rundown

Needless to say, the big
media story has been Harley's win.
And crikey o'riley, that's two more piggin' BAFTA prizes
for the triumverate of Astley
Baker Davies. How many
have they got now?
From an industry viewpoint, that double Gumball triumph
raises
the profile of Cartoon Network Europe quite considerably,
doesn't
it? Oh, and Big Congratulations with a capital "B"
and "C" must
also go to the ever-busy Brothers
McLeod and - well - all the
winners and nominees, in fact. It really is so darned
tough out
there right now... Eeek... Now we've strayed back on to that
gloomy topic again, so we'll wrap things up. As always,
you'll
find a complete breakdown of the night's events, speeches
and photos on the BAFTA web site...
