"It was an ordinary day in Doyley Woods..."

Welcome back to Doyley Woods, the weird and wonderful woodland home
of Willo the Wisp and his friends, Mavis Cruet the fairy, Arthur the Caterpillar,
Carwash the Cat, the Moog, and the Beast. It's been almost a quarter of a
century since we last saw them, and in that time not an awful lot has
changed. Mavis is still a moaning minny, the Moog is as mad as ever,
    and Carwash just as droll...

But someone else is here with them, cackling in the bushes. Yes, that
most wicked of witches, the terrible television that is Evil Edna has returned
as well. Only Edna's had an upgrade, from analogue to digital. She's become
a flat screen scream on wheels!

This all-new series has been shepherded to the screen by Bobbi Spargo,
the daughter of the series creator, the late Nick Spargo. Listen closely and
you'll hear that comedian/actor James Dreyfus now voices the characters.
He's taken over from dear Kenneth Williams and Willo has taken on
a suitably Dreyfus-like appearance. But James does more than merely
mimic those famous voices. He invests them with his own particular
    invection so they're now part-Williams, part-Dreyfus - it's a very clever
    upgrade.

As for the rest of the show, well, Doyley Woods remains just as perculiar
as ever. Who knows how these misfits ended up together, and how on
earth they take care of themselves when they have barely a brain cell
to rub together. Somehow the gang muddle their way through the day,
curing toothache, helping lonely clouds, shedding weight and avoiding
Evil Edna. Doyley days are still anything but ordinary...
